Ridgetown Campus Application Process

  1. Review admission requirements

    Review the admission requirements for your program(s) of choice:

    • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or Equivalent
    • A minimum cumulative average of 65% in 6 Grade 11 or Grade 12 U, C, M, or O level courses (excludes Co-op credits)
    • Includes a minimum of Grade 11C Math and Grade 12C English
    • OR Mature Student Status*

    * Definition of Mature Student: Do not hold a high school diploma or equivalent, but are 19 years of age or older and out of high school for a minimum of one year; may be required to complete pre-admission testing

    • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or Equivalent

    • Includes a minimum of Grade 11C Math and Grade 12C English

    • The Conventional delivery method of this program is oversubscribed (more applications received than spots available)
    • Applications to the program, for both delivery methods, are assessed on an applicant's academic grades only; no other factors are considered

    Current Ontario Secondary School Curriculum Minimum Course Requirements

    • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or Equivalent
    • English: Grade 12 C or U English
    • Math: Grade 12 C Math or any Grade 12 U Math
    • Biology: Grade 11 C or U Biology
    • Chemistry: Grade 12 C or Grade 11 U Chemistry

    Each of the courses listed above must have:

    • A minimum final grade of 75% at the ‘C’ level
    • A minimum final grade of 65% at the ‘U’ level

    * For students that completed their Ontario secondary schooling under the previous curriculum, please see Admission & Applying for the minimum course requirements

Admission Process

November

Visit campus, ask questions and get to know current students.

February 1

Application deadline for equal consideration. Late applications for both offerings of the Associate Diploma in Veterinary Technology will not be considered. For all other programs, applications received after the equal consideration deadline will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis.

February - March

Watch your profile at ontariocolleges.ca for any offers of admission after November 1 for non-competitive programs. Offers for both versions of Veterinary Technology will start going out in early March.

May 1

Deadline to accept your offer of admission at ontariocolleges.ca (or as stated on your offer letter). Here's a helpful guide on how to view and accept your offer

June

Watch your email for login information for your new UofG account as well as details on how to register in fall courses.

July - August

Attend a Ridgetown Ready Session to learn more about campus, meet fellow classmates and get help with course registration.
